I’m interested in the structure and texture of everyday objects. Beautifully designed and constructed things are what inspire me most. I use my sketchbook as a starting point for my drawings, collages and prints. I draw what makes me wide-eyed: functional objects, abstract shapes from nature and the interiors and exteriors of living spaces, My sketches are a fifty-fifty split between quick and careful. I try and give my drawings a hand-printed quality by adding layers of muted or bold colors paired with thin or heavy outlines, transfers and textures. I print my’collagraphs at Zea Mays Printmaking.

I received my BFA in printmaking from Syracuse University in ’05. I am currently a Museum Educator in the Pioneer Valley in Western Massachusetts where I get to think-play-learn-imagine-investigate everyday.http://www.zeamaysprintmaking.com/shapeimage_3_link_0
